Find Your Bind Flow
In the realm of yoga, the concept of "binding" is more than just a physical action. It’s a journey toward deeper self awareness and connection. This March, my yoga flow classes are centered around the theme of "Find Your Bind Flow," where we explore the transformative power of yoga binds.
Unlocking New Possibilities
A bind in yoga occurs when one part of the body holds onto another, or when two parts are intricately intertwined. This practice not only deepens your poses but also opens up your chest, neck, shoulders, and back, improving posture and easing tension. By interlacing your fingers behind your back, overhead, or across your chest, you create a synergy that enhances both physical and mental wellbeing.
The Physical and Spiritual Dance
Binding is about finding balance between effort and ease, struggle and surrender. With tools like yoga straps or scarves, even beginners can bridge the gap in their binds, gradually finding that bound postures become more accessible and sustaining. These poses challenge you to engage in a delicate dance of push and pull, activating and stretching your body into newfound openness.
Spiritually, each bind forms a seal, fostering a profound connection within and around you. As you immerse in the present moment, you cultivate a sense of unity and peace that transcends the mat.
